Ebony & Ivory

A sad day, cuttsy cat "Ebony" at the grand old age of 18 died today, peacefully.

Ebony had one or two odd character traits and as with most animals they involved food. Her fave morning treat was toast with jam, wolfed it down (assuming cats can wolf things!). Spaghetti, could not get enough of it, seeing her suck on a string of pasta until the last bit splashed her face with bolognaise source was memorable to say the least. Cheese, not the cheap stuff, it had to be strong mature Cheddar only then would she eat it! Occasionally she would have cat food but never the same make or flavour twice in one week.

Why Ebony for a pure white cat? Her twin sister Ivory was pure black and if you mix black and white twins with my sense of humour you get confused neighbours! Picture me on the doorstep shouting Ebony to a white cat, or missus cuttsy taking them both to the vets and trying to explain which is which, well you get the idea.

We've had her all our married lives since a kitten in fact (the cat, not us when we were married), she was part of the family and the house already feels empty without her.

It will take some getting used to.

Goodbye Ebony

So sorry to hear about your beloved Ebony, LittleG & I hope you and 'missus cuttsy' are going to be OK.
Your blog peice is a lovely heart warming tribute to your (very beautiful) cat. It made me smile as I read about her antics.
Thinking of you both

Hey family and blog friends,

Thanks for your kind thoughts, it's been another emotional day but Time as they say heals all. So gradually back to life and blogging and all that.
Look out for the raser sharp wit, engaging prose and well structured tales of life and stuff in future blogs or alternatively visit my pages for the usual mix of drivel and ramblings normally associated with a deranged mind with too much time to fill.
