Made For Idiots

We couldn't afford a new house so bought a 200 year old cottage and anyone who lives in (or with) an old relic will tell you they come with foibles! Ours has a few, the first being that the nearest we can get a car to the house is about 150 meters away. This always proves popular with the delivery men, this morning being no exception, as they lugged the wardrobe and bedroom furniture up the path and into the house.

Now foible number two is the very narrow and winding staircase which results in us never being able to buy pre-built bedroom furniture, it just will not get up the stairs (neither would the bath and that ended up going through the window after we had that room completely renovated, but that's a whole other story).

So we have to buy flat pack and assemble in situe, now Made For Idiots (MFI) stuff would not be our first choice but after mucho expeditions to flat pack emporiums we found a suitable range and this was delivered this morning.

So, the dining room is chock full of boxes ready for the fun of assembly, I'm not looking forward to this! I'm fairly practical and analytical, I was even the Rubik Cube champion of Yorkshire (29 seconds).

How hard can wardrobes be?

I am going to take a deep breath, in true bloke style, throw away the instructions and dive in head first.
